911 Security

Bridgestone, the name you know when it comes to high quality tires was shopping around for a new security camera system to replace the old VHS system that they currently had. There more focus was on service since they have experienced poor service and slow response. Josh Graham Chapman, our security consultant in Dallas met with the facility manager and recommend a 32 camera system to replace the current system in place. The new cameras are high resolution colored cameras with 60mm Auto iris length to give more detail and coverage compared to the older cameras. Our DVR solution was our standalone Samsung OEM 16 Channel system with 480 FPS record rate and 4 TB of storage in each recorded. The job was competed, and Bridgestone can now enjoy a new level of safety and monitoring that can help this Dallas location become more profitable.

Thermal imaging cameras are being used at some airports to detect fever and possible H1N1 virus (Swine Flu) in passengers.  Airports around the globe are using these thermal cameras to detect fever in arriving passengers.  As we have seen by the implementation by China and Singapore during the SARS scare, thermal cameras can help limit the spread of disease.

Ecuador, Japan, Australia, Mexico, China, Singapore and France are just a list of some countries that have applied thermal imaging cameras in airports.  The thermal imaging machines are used to quickly detect the presence of fever in arriving passengers.  Passengers and visitors that show any signs of fever can be transferred to a special area for an examination by Health authorities, who can determine the following steps

In addition to airports many manufacturing and public sectors are implementing these cameras to screen employees. In fact a major US technology manufacturing company has recently ordered systems for use at its overseas manufacturing facilities.

Cameras offer a discreet and efficient way of identifying individuals with elevated body temperatures which helps in the detection of possible fever and limits the spread of infectious disease.

In addition to monitoring body temperature, thermal imaging cameras are used for border control security and fire detection.  Click the link to learn about the Advantages of Thermal Imaging Cameras and How Thermal Cameras Save Lives.

So how do the cameras work?  Thermal Imaging Cameras works much like digital security cameras except they take a thermal picture. The camera sensors measure infrared radiation that is transformed to a visual representation that determines the amount of heat being produced.  The color ranges from blue to red depending on the amount of heat radiating from the object.  The higher the object’s temperature, the greater the IR radiation emitted.
