Hatch ISD Goes IP with 911 security cameras

Hatch Valley ISD chooses 911 security cameras for their new IP security system deployment.
The Village of Hatch, New Mexico, U.S.A. “Chile Capital of the World” Located off Interstate 25, between Las Cruces and Truth or Consequences, the Village of Hatch has experienced steady but moderate growth. In 2007, the town population registered a little over 1,600 people. The Village of Hatch also serves seven unincorporated communities with a- combined population of 5,000 people that share the same school district.
Hatch ISD was awarded by the state a grant to install a new security camera system in the both the middle and high school. The RFP went out for public bid and amoung the 5 companies that bidded the installation 911 security cameras was awareded the bid.
911 security cameras proposed Video insight as camera management software and Arecont megapixel cameras to cover the school district. 911 security cameras recommended the Arecont 3mp dual sensor for all outdoor camera and Arecont 2mp vandal dome cameras for all indoor application with the exception of the gym and the cafeteria areas where a 5mp camera where recommended. Between the two schools 86 cameras were installed to cover the school premises.
Video insight management software running on two Dell Xeon server was used to store video and maange the camera emap application. Video insight health monitor was setup at the 911 seufity cameras head quarters to constitiyy ping these server and make sure all the camera are operational.
911 securuity cameras completed the work and the school district was very happy and excited to start putting this new system into action.
